Space Planner & Venting Specialist

An expanded position on our design team focused on helping coffee roasteries plan layouts that integrate new machinery and venting systems to ensure machinery is placed effectively both for production and machine function.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

Create CAD drawings of floor plans and building sections that clearly communicate layouts and installations.

Create instructions for users when required to help them understand how machinery is placed and venting is assembled. 

Design and manage inventory of our standard venting kits for each model. Answer customer questions and provide assembly guidance when required.

Implement effective communication tools/apps/platforms to educate owners on how to survey their space for possible machine fit.

Manage internal file structure that is scalable and allows for easy wayfinding for team members.

Work closely leadership on a small team to continually evolve the product line and brand.

Skills and Experience: 

Experience in building materials and construction and sequencing of building construction projects including relationships between contractors and owners.

General knowledge of applicable building codes and the permitting process.

Ability to problem solve for customers based on their allocated spaces and budgets and to present options clearly.

Ability to collaborate with cross-functional team members and interpret feedback to prioritize into next steps.

Creative problem-solving skills – ability to work at detail level while keeping the larger concepts in sight.

Experienced with working well on a small team and maintaining clear, easy communication.

Must be proficient in AutoCAD (or AutoCAD LT) and creating construction drawings.

Experience in Adobe Creative Suite highly preferred but not required.

Details: 

Located in our Minneapolis office. Core work hours are 9:00AM to 5:00PM M-F. 

Job Type: Full-time, salaried

Salary range: $54,000 – $75,000 (DOQ)
