In our roastery
We booked this coffee to offer as a single origin and to include as a smaller component in our cold brew blend, which needs a little fruity sweetness to make it sing.
Available at a more affordable price point than similar quality coffees from Ethiopia, we knew this coffee was a great buy. With a balance of fruit, floral, and chocolate notes, it's versatile and dynamic and will work well for multiple profiles. Strong enough to stand alone as a single-origin, and a great option to add an assertive flavor to a blend.
With so many roasters looking to Ethiopia for great naturals, this coffee ran the risk of being overlooked. We are thrilled to have found it and to be able to share it with other roasters.
In your lineup
This natural processed Honduras offers a clean cup with high-candied fruit notes. We came across this offering while looking for a replacement for a natural coffee from East Africa, something that would be fruity, sweet, and great for summer. This Honduras surprised us with its fruit-forward profile and remarkable sweetness.
This Honduras would work excellently as a flash iced brew, a pour-over, or as a blend component in your light to medium roast espresso or drip coffee blends.

About
An often overlooked origin, coffees from Honduras are increasing in quality year after year. Known for their chocolaty and nutty profile, higher elevation farms are producing cups that are prime examples of micro climates and regions that produce complex cups. This regional blend was built with many coffees from Cooperativa RAOS, whose membership is around 270 smallholders.
Cooperativa RAOS (Regional de Agrícultores Orgánicos de la Sierra) has been a producer partner of Cafe Imports since 2015, and in addition to sourcing bulked coffees from its core membership of 270 farmers, they also source lots from 77 women coffee producers who are active members.
RAOS’s leadership is determined to increase gender equity among its members, specifically with regards to legal complications related to gender-based restrictions on owning farmland, as well as the greater degree of difficulty women often face in security credit and financing before the harvest. Cooperativa RAOS holds regular gender assemblies to discuss the women’s needs as well as to ensure their voices are heard and considered, and the organization also holds educational workshops for its members that are open to all.
