This 7 1/2 hour course will be a hands-on, interactive introduction to roasting.
Attendees will be able to determine how to select greens, what greens they desire, and when to buy greens.The majority of time will be spent learning roasting theory while roasting in pairs. Machine controls, safety, use of airflow, application of BTUs, roasting phases and software use will be taught and applied.
As a final component, roasters will learn to season their drums, identify roasting defects, how to shut down and clean the roaster, as well as recurring maintenance.
Our classes are held in the Mill City Roasters training space starting at 8am. Attendees will be provided a catered lunch.
$175 of your class fee can be used within 90 days as a deposit on your roaster purchase. The remaining fee is applied towards class materials and lunch.
