The MCR Venting Kit for our 2kg Coffee Roaster offers a way to quickly connect your roaster and chaff collector. The end of the kit gangs together the exhaust of the roaster and cooling tray to create a single point from which an HVAC Professional can work to reach termination outdoors using venting appropriate to your building and code requirements. Please review the dimensions and drawings to ensure this kit will work in your space. Additional specifications, including shipping information, are noted below and you can learn more about coffee roaster venting on our Commercial Coffee Roaster Venting FAQ.
This layout is designed for the current model of Mill City Roasters 2kg Coffee Roaster (released January 2018) which has a taller design allowing for the cooling tray to vent from the back of the roaster. If you have an older model 2kg, contact us to inquire about a kit that will work for you.
This 29-piece kit includes all parts shown in the drawings up to and including the branch above the chaff collector, the top of which is 73” above the floor. Also included are all clamps with upgraded seals, upgraded o-rings, blast gates, assembly instructions and adapters which we will custom-size to your specific machine as it passes through our Minneapolis facility.
Specifications & Ratings
The line between the roaster and chaff collector is stainless steel (rated to 1100°F). All other lines are galvanized (rated to 390°F). If your local code requires or you prefer your entire system to be stainless steel, contact us for pricing. A portion of each kit is fabricated in our Minneapolis shop and a portion is dropped shipped to you from our venting manufacturing partner, Nordfab, in North Carolina, using custom-sized parts from their single-walled, Class III, Positive Pressure, Quick Fit Series.
Clamp together system makes it easy to assemble and disassemble for weekly and monthly cleanings. Custom designed parts keep your footprint small to take up less space in your roastery. All seals are upgraded for longer lasting performance.
Venting parts in the kit are precut and clamp together without tools. To lower installation costs, it is highly suggested that you layout your components and build the kit yourself and then work with an HVAC Contractor to design and install vent lines you require to reach termination outdoors. See our Commercial Coffee Roaster Venting FAQ for more information.
