The MCR Venting Kit for our 2kg Coffee Roaster offers a way to quickly connect your roaster and chaff collector. The end of the kit gangs together the exhaust of the roaster and cooling tray to create a single point from which an HVAC Professional can work to reach termination outdoors using venting appropriate to your building and code requirements. Please review the dimensions and drawings to ensure this kit will work in your space. Additional specifications, including shipping information, are noted below and you can learn more about coffee roaster venting on our Commercial Coffee Roaster Venting FAQ.
This layout is designed for the current Mill City Roasters 2kg Coffee Roaster (released January 2019). The clamp together system makes it easy to assemble and disassemble for weekly and monthly cleanings. Custom designed parts keep your footprint small to take up less space in your roastery.
If you have an older model coffee roaster, contact us to inquire about a kit that will work for you.
The full kit (Lines #1, #2, #3) includes all parts shown in the drawings up to and including the branch above the chaff collector, the top of which is 65” above the work surface. All clamps have upgraded seals we custom-size your adapters to your specific machine as it passes through our Minneapolis facility. Full, color-coded assembly instructions are included and our design team is available if you have questions.
The partial kit includes only Line #1 (between roaster exhuast and chaff collector intake).
Specifications & Ratings
Line #1 between the roaster and chaff collector and Line #3 above chaff collector are stainless steel (rated to 1100°F). Line #2 from the cooling tray is galvanized (rated to 390°F). If your local code requires or you prefer your entire system to be stainless steel, contact us for pricing. All seals are upgraded silicone for longer lasting performance. Do not locate within 18″ of a combustible wall, ceiling, etc.
Venting parts clamp together without tools and there is no cutting required. To lower installation costs, it is highly suggested that you layout your components and build the kit yourself and then work with an HVAC Contractor to design and install vent lines you require to reach termination outdoors. Each kit includes a transition adapter at the end of this kit to make it easy to transition to other ducting types. See our Commercial Coffee Roaster Venting FAQ for more information on how to choose a ducting type to use between this kit and termination outdoors.
A portion of each kit is fabricated in our Minneapolis shop and a portion is dropped shipped to you from our venting manufacturing partner. The kits are currently taking 4-5 days to produce and 4-5 days in transit via UPS (for US customers) so you’ll want to order this a few weeks prior to when your roaster is due to arrive.
Free shipping to the contiguous US. Alaskan, Hawaiian and international shipping is possible; please contact us for a quote.
Note: If you are planning to purchase a venting kit, we highly suggest you purchase before we ship your roaster. If we have your machine in our facility, we will custom make a few of your venting parts to better fit the ports on your roaster. If you purchase the venting kit after you take delivery of your roaster, we may ask you to verify a few dimensions and it may add a few days to your order.
Returns or Cancellations
Returns on venting kits and parts are accepted only on specific parts. There is a 25% restocking fee if returns are accepted. Cancellations are possible within 12 hours of order placement.
