The Quick-Connect Kit for our Sample Roaster offers quick joining of the cooling tray exhaust with the roaster exhaust using our favorite clamp-together, single-walled venting system. The end of the kit creates a single point from which an HVAC Professional can work to reach termination outdoors using venting appropriate to your building and code requirements. Please review the dimensions and drawings to ensure this kit will work in your space. Why It’s Popular
The Quick-Connect Kits are a smart addition to your roaster set-up. Clamps allow you to remove all parts for easy cleaning and disconnects your roaster from your venting stack to allow you to perform regular maintenance and also clean up into the venting beyond this kit.
What’s Included
This 17-piece kit includes all parts shown in the drawings up to and including the branch above the chaff collector, the top of which is 45” above the worksurface. Also included are all clamps with upgraded seals, upgraded o-rings, blast gates, assembly instructions and adapters which we will custom-size to your specific machine as it passes through our Minneapolis facility.
Custom Fit
This layout is designed for the current body of Mill City Roasters 500 gram Coffee Roaster (released February 2018) which has port for the cooling tray fan off the side of the cooling tray and an attached chaff collector with a port off the top. If you have an older model coffee roaster, contact us to inquire about a kit that will work for you.
Specifications & Ratings
All lines are galvanized. If your local code requires or you prefer your kit to be stainless steel, contact us for pricing. All seals are upgraded silicone for longer lasting performance. Do not locate within 18″ of a combustible wall, ceiling, etc.
Installation
Venting parts clamp together without tools and there is no cutting required. To lower installation costs, it is highly suggested that you layout your components and build the kit yourself and then work with an HVAC Contractor to design and install vent lines you require to reach termination outdoors. Each kit includes a transition adapter at the end of this kit to make it easy to transition to other ducting types. See our Commercial Coffee Roaster Venting FAQ for more information on how to choose a ducting type to use between this kit and termination outdoors.
Shipping
If you are planning to purchase a venting kit, we highly suggest you purchase before we ship your roaster. If we have your machine in our facility, we will custom make a few of your venting parts to better fit the ports on your roaster. If you purchase the venting kit after you take delivery of your roaster, we may ask you to verify a few dimensions and it may add a few days to your order.
Returns or Cancellations
Returns on venting kits and parts are accepted only on specific parts. There is a 25% restocking fee if returns are accepted. Cancellations are possible within 12 hours of order placement.

Steve Bannister
To anyone thinking about whether to get this kit … get it! I just recently purchased a MC 500 and I accidentally dropped some Tanzanian Peaberries in the cooling fan. The beans were sucked throughout the venting system. Fortunately, it took no time to snap apart the venting kit and clean everything out. This venting kit will also encourage me to clean out my venting more often, which will better guard against coffee sludge buildup. The kit is well worth the money for me.
