In our roastery
We love coffees from Kenya for their punchy acidity, and complexity in flavor. As the 2026 harvest started to arrive in importer warehouses, there was buzz and excitement about cup quality. That got us thinking about limited end of year green offerings, incorporating this lot into our education programs, and to work as a component in our most popular blends of the year, Holiday Blend’s. The versatility of this lot was exactly what we were looking for, and will be sure to add some depth to the bench.
In your lineup
These are hearty seeds capable of withstanding many roast styles, making it a great option for hyper focused slow bar offerings, or larger brewing methods for fast service. The profile we really enjoy is a well developed light roast pushing 2:00 - 2:15 in development between 12-15F past first crack. Roasters that prefer medium or darker roast levels will find rich and tactile qualities in the cup.

About
Microlots from Kenya are traceable to either the factory level or individual farm level (when possible), and are selected basis cup score. Because the majority of coffee farmers in Kenya own between 1/8–1/4 a hectare of land, most deliver coffee in cherry form to a local factory for sorting and processing; at the factory, the deliveries are blended and processed into day lots comprising the day' s deliveries.
New Ngariama Farmers Cooperative Society operates the Kiamugumo Factory, which was founded in the 1970s. There are about 1,500 contributing members who deliver cherry to the factory, each growing coffee alongside other crops on about 1/8th a hectare each, average.
