We suggest roasting 3 to 5 full batches very dark to properly season a new drum. Sound scary? It can be when you're on a new-to-you coffee roaster. But when you purchase a new Mill City Roaster®, our Support Team will arrange a Zoom® call with you to make sure you're set up safely and comfortable with the controls before handing you over to the Roaster Team to co-roast your first few batches together.
