Tiny House Coffee Roasters, located in Austin, Texas, was formed after its founders spent time stationed in Nigcaragua volunteering for the Peace Corps. There, founders Blake Thomas, Helen Schafer, and Trey Bussey connected with local coffee growers. Rather than following the traditional supply chain process of coffee moving from producer, to exporter, importer, and then the roasters, they work directly with the producer. This process can doubles the earnings per pound of coffee for the producer. Tiny House roasts on a 3 kilogram North machine from Mill City Roasters.
