These housings fit around your roasters' drum and cooling fans, which need regular cleaning. Over time, the housings may become worn or damaged. New housings can be an upgrade to the overall appearance of your roaster. If the screw holes on your housing get striped or if the housing no longer seals around the fan, it may be time to replace it.
Some roasters keep spare housings on hand so that they can keep their roaster operational while they take time to deep-clean their fan housings, rotating back to the clean one when the spare becomes dirty.
