Mill City Roasters Expands Operations In Northeast Minneapolis

Posted by on

This Fall, we will be expanding into a 40,000 sf. facility in Minneapolis’ Mid-City Industrial district at 401 Harding Street Northeast. Built in 1950, the mid-century-style building has had a marked architectural impact on this district and has been carefully renovated to adapt to our expanding footprint in the specialty coffee industry.

The new headquarters will accommodate all operations, support, and design teams, a 5000 sf. coffee roasting operation, 3200 sf. training center for coffee professionals and a 7000 sf. fabrication facility where we will continue moving portions of our existing off-shore coffee roaster & equipment manufacturing to the USA.

Our new headquarters at 401 Harding St. NE

Our beloved previous roasting facility in northeast Minneapolis will remain and be converted into the first fully-staffed co-roasting space of its scale for local coffee entrepreneurs. We are actively seeking interested partners in managing this space and furthering our ongoing commitment to making Minneapolis the Midwest hub of specialty coffee.

On October 10th, we'll welcome friends into our new facility at the official kick-off event for Coffee Fest, a nationally recognized tradeshow for the coffee industry which will be next be held at the Minneapolis Convention Center on October 11-12. Local specialty coffee professionals and the coffee curious are invited to join the kick-off event at Mill City Roasters new HQ on the evening of the 10th to share food, drinks, and to celebrate the continued growth of the specialty coffee community in Twin Cities and across the Midwest.
