New Article: Comparing the Quality of Professional Sample Roasters

Posted by Lauren Lathrop on

As roasters, we know that every variable that impacts coffee quality matters. We also know that roasting professionals across our industry are out of calibration on one key element of their sample roasting protocol: the type of roaster they're using.

We worked with Cafe Imports' Sensory team to color-match roasted samples prepared on a Mill City 500g Sample Roaster, a Stronghold S7, and an Ikawa Pro V3 to see how the style of the sample roaster affects green coffee evaluation.

Would you buy the same green coffee even if your sample was underdeveloped? Would you be able to tell which coffees on the table are the highest quality if your roasts aren't ideal? Check out the article to see what we learned from our comparative cupping.
