PERFECT THE PROFILE

Gain valuable insights into your roast data with customized roasting exercises focused on phase percentage goals and the impact of specific landmarks on flavor quality. Learn to identify early markers of a roasting issue and how to get back on track in real time, without wasting valuable greens.

BUILD BETTER BLENDS

Starting with an inventory of high-quality single origins, curate your own espresso, drip coffee, or seasonal blends and develop roast profiles for pre or post-roast iterations. Experiment with different processing methods and develop techniques for keeping blends consistent season to season.

SENSORY SKILLBUILDING

We utilize challenging sensory exercises like triangulations, reference flavor matching, and solutions tasting to help you hone your skills at the cupping table. Learn how to design an effective QC program for your own roastery to increase consistency, quality, and product value for your customers.

INCREASE EFFICIENCY

Learn from our experienced team of production roasters on how to approach your daily roasting schedule, pre-heat process, and between batch protocol to maximize efficiency and labor in your roastery. Get hands-on experience with commercial packaging equipment and see how you can increase your production with small upgrades.

MACHINE MAINTENANCE

Take on bigger maintenance projects with us on our training and production roasters to practice disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly and learn more about our preventative maintenance schedule as a commercial roaster. Review our roastery safety plan, and learn what to do in the case of a power outage, roaster fire, or other unexpected issue.

BEYOND THE DRUM

We operate a commercial roastery and provide roasted coffee to several cafes and private-label customers. By learning and working in our facility you will become familiar with other tools and equipment that are necessary to operate a commercial roastery.
