In our roastery
Guatemala is known around Mill City Roasters as our Spring to Summer origin that is utilized heavily in our blends and featured as a single-origin coffee. This year, Cafe Imports reached out about some farm-specific lots where the initial tasting notes piqued our interest. With this harvest occurring a little later in the year and arriving in the late Fall, we knew we would be able to offer this coffee through the end of the 2024 calendar.
Like many of our offerings, we favor green coffees that can be used in multiple ways. Coffees that taste fantastic across all roast levels on our toll roasting menu and will play a supportive role in one or more of our house blends. Guatemala is a versatile region that can enhance the variety of our offerings in many ways.
In your lineup
Keep it simple or mix it up. This coffee is perfect as a single origin, or, as a blend component. With a nice balance of sweetness, it's a safe coffee that's sure to please a crowd. Every sip is like saying hello to an old friend.
Lighter roast levels showcase tart citrus and mixed nuts. Move toward medium roasts, and notes of hot chocolate and sweet cream appear. Touching second crack will bring out baker's cocoa and toasted nuts.
